Self Inflicted Gun Accident In Wyanet Household
A three year old boy, Floyd Stevens, was shot by a revolver left on a shelf in a Wyanet area home. He injured his left hand when he manipulated the weapon while his parents cleaned, the bullet lodging in a wall. Fire destroys Silvis Sash & Door works in Silvis

Ninety Two Belgians Move West From Kewanee
A party of ninety two Belgians left Kewanee to join the United States Sugar Company labor project in Deerfield Kansas. They will farm sugar beets on modern leased farms with equipment and horses, renting at one eighth of the product and agreeing to sell all beets at a fixed rate per ton. The company also covers their transportation to Kansas.

Runaway Horse Slows After Miss Nelson Injury Narrow Escape
A runaway horse driven by Mrs. Carl Nelson of Burns Township dashed along Second Street to Tremont, then threw the driver from the carriage. Passersby feared serious injury but Mrs. Nelson escaped unharmed while the horse toppled. The rig suffered little damage and a loose bill caused the start. The incident was witnessed on Tuesday afternoon.
