From the London Gazette comes an account of Sicilian unrest after royal return, including riots over monopolies, a Viceroy’s danger, and archbishop installed as leader. It notes Genoese ships, confiscations, executions, and a demand for the Viceroy’s immediate exit, with further European political tremors and local security actions.
Shipping news lists vessels sailing to Jamaica Grenville Bay and Dover Pier with crews and destinations. Arrivals at Poole Hull Bamburgh Amsterdam Gabradoté include Good Intent Sally and Mary and Venus from Newfoundland and London respectively.
