Leeds to Selby canal joist plan at Holbeck meeting

At a Leeds and Liverpool Canal proprietors meeting held at Orm and Kirk on the 15th, leave was unanimously given for subscribers to joist the Leeds to Selby canal to connect with the Leeds and Liverpool navigable river near Leeds Bridge. Cambridge reports a handsome bridge over the Cam funded by that corporation. Royal orders direct the head gardener at Kew to inscribe plant names fully rather than with catalog references.
