Four bank robbers stole 3000 dollars from Wanatah State Bank with two tellers and director C. E. Osborn forced inside. They fled in a large sedan bearing Indiana plates 712 540. No injuries reported despite a reported gunshot. Edward Milgram of Gary previously owned the stolen Buick tied to the plates.
