The Whit ing Relief Garden committee announced it has acquired additional land on New York Avenue between 126th and 127th streets to allot new plots. Seeds will be distributed next week after a meeting with Virgil Sheppard, director of relief in Lake County.

Funeral for Mrs Hannah Kroosweyk Held in Munster
The funeral of Mrs. Hannah Kroosweyk of Munster was held from Emerling Funeral Home on Friday April 17. Interment was in Oak Lawn cemetery. She died of double pneumonia while caring for her sister. She was sister to Nick DeMile of Oak Glen. The Weavers and other relatives planned a weekend with Mrs. Weaver's parents in Hobart.
