Gilt Edge Base Ball Showdown at City Park
Thursday's City Park game pitted Don nevan's Salt Lake League team against the Garland Champions in a tight contest both defenses solid with one error each. The Leagures rallied in the seventh inning scoring three runs after Lowe faltered, Jensen allowed limited work, and Garland declared the toughest foe Glendale Globe noted. The Garland Gladiators then beat Elwood Primary 9 to 9 on Monday at City Park.

Garland Town Board Adopts Fire Limit Ordinance
The Garland Town Board met in regular session at City hall on Tuesday Sept 6 with full attendance. A fire limit ordinance bans frame structures in central areas. Factory street will close from Riter's corner to a block west of the Amusement hall during the 3 day Religion Class Fair. Licenses were adjusted, the Marshal's report accepted, and Treasurer M D Evans approved. Several bills were allowed.
