Logan couple ties the knot in December ceremony

In Logan Cache County on December 22 Ed Gleason son of A. H. Gleason and Miss Mildred Grover daughter of Mrs Armelia Grover were married. A reception was held at the bride’s mother's home that evening and the couple will reside in Garland North.

Mask Ball At Brigham City Academy New Year's Eve

The grand masquerade ball at Brigham City Academy of Music drew over 800 attendees and was a success. Four cash prizes were awarded for costumes with Miss Anderson winning $5 for best costume, Mrs Will Gidney $4 for second best, Frank Losee $3 for most comic, and John Walberg $2 for most ridiculous. The regular Saturday night dance also drew good attendance.

At midnight December 31, 1909 the Owens Hotel lease expired with E E Bingham as proprietor for a few hours. On January 1, 1910 N A Peterson leased the hotel becoming the new proprietor as Bingham family moved out. Peterson, an old hand, will run the business in up to date style with Frank Burns of Fielding in charge of the kitchen.
