R G Michaelis manager of Garland Milling Co suffered a severe hand injury in the bran-sifter area on Friday evening. The right hand’s index finger was broken with flesh torn from the second finger. eleven stitches were required. He slipped on an oily floor while oiling a fly wheel and caught the set screw, mangling fingers one and two. The index finger may be saved but amputation is possible.

Appendicitis Operation In Ogden Hospital
Wallace Seerist son of Mr and Mrs Thos E Seerist accompanied by his parents and Dr Wm L Rich went to Ogden Thursday for appendicitis surgery. He fell ill Wednesday and Dr Rich diagnosed acute appendicitis. The operation occurred Wednesday at 1 pm by Dr Edward Rich and Dr Wm L Rich at Ogden General hospital and was very successful. The appendix was large and delaying the operation could have caused rupture.
