Dr William L Rich visited Ogden on business while Mies Ninn Winters and Mrs Essie Foulger traveled between Ogden Salt Lake City. Mosiah Evans and others conducted county business. Vernon Rhodes bruised shoulder in a pea mishap. Community events include Religion Class talk by Joseph Cannon, Garland Kindergarten closing exercises, and local errands by Tremont and Brigham residents.
In Brigham Thursday a runaway wagon from Glover's team collided with Henry Stander near Charlen Watkins' place. J C Wixom, editor's father, was struck by the horses and hurled, suffering multiple injuries though his bones were not broken. Dr. Pearse treated his wounds and spectators urged replacing the team.
Community notices list excursions to Seattle on August 8 and 9 with rates available through agents. Also mentions an Eagle's Convention details and urging readers to consult local agencies for rates and particulars.
The Garland Globe lays out registration dates for Sunset Precinct voters ahead of the November election. In 1908 no new registrations are allowed. the 1906 register will be revised by adding names registered on August 10, 18, 21 and October 6, 7, 11, 27, 28. Applicants must appear in person to register, with August 10 noted as the first opportunity.

Box Elder County plans its official fair in Ogden from September 26 to October 3 with the Big Four counties including Box Elder Morgan Davis Weber. The Board of Control lists Brigham City Deweyville Corinne Tremonton Garland Bear River City Willard and Brigham City tree inspector Carl Isaacson. William Glasmann Director General will visit August 26 to promote exhibits and premiums.
The Post Office Department declares papers will not be carried at the current rate when subscribers owe more than a year in arrears.
