Garland ISD plans 1.5 million bond sale for July
Trustees set a July 15 sale for 1.5 million in bonds the first of a 6.6 million program approved May 14 to fund school sites classrooms streets and utilities. Officials expect about 4.5 percent interest and will rate the bonds with Moody's Dun and Bradstreet Standard and Poor's before sale. A plan to add power mechanics courses at high schools was discussed. The board meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Administration Building.

Garland program offers learning experiences for Get Set children
