Grass Fires Keep Firemen On Run

Planners Approve Springer as City Planning Consultant
Garland City Plan Commission on Monday night recommended approving Marvin Springer & Associates as consulting engineers for the city. Tragic Scout Truck Crash Kills Twelve in Utah Mountains
In Escalante Utah a scouting expedition ended in disaster when a truck carrying 12 Scouts leaders and a reporter plunged from a mountainside. Nine Scouts two professors and the reporter died while 34 others were injured. The Utah Highway Patrol blamed engine failure and brake failure on the single track road.
