Bussey Junior High mathematics teacher David I. LaRue is one of two in the Dallas Fort Worth area to receive a one year scholarship grant from the Council of Scientific Societies Dallas Fort Worth Area. Checks totaling 15000 were presented by Dr Fred C Jonah at the council meeting held at the Spanish Inn. The program aids teachers in earning masters degrees in scientific subjects. Dr Joseph F Shea spoke on Fallout of the Nation's Space Program. LaRue, 26, lives in Garland with his wife and two children at 205 Heather. He is a graduate of East Texas State University and taught in Maybank prior to joining Garland schools in 1964.
