Meet To Probe Builder Beefs In Garland
City Manager John Stiff said a Garland Builders Coordinating Committee meeting may take up builder complaints raised by M. C. Cole at Tuesday night’s City Council session. United Press International reports renewed severe weather across West Texas with tornadoes on the South Plains, heavy rains and large hail causing dark skies, flooded highways and damaged structures. Winds near 70 mph struck Pecos, a light plane was smashed, a baseball park bleacher collapsed, and at least six tornadoes roamed the region amid ongoing storms.
