Charter school backers eye Westminster district
A group of educators petitions to open Lotus Charter Academy in Westminster for the 2014 15 school year. Pacific Educational Partners with a nine thousand six hundred twenty student district enrolled about 42 percent Latino and under 1 percent African American. The project seeks 180 students first year rising to 300 by 2018 19 and requires district approval, with possible appeals to county and state boards if denied.
