Charity Shop near closing as startup space strains finances
Manager Jordan Avila runs the Charity Shop, a six studio and music space in a former campaign office. Funds raised barely reach 15 dollars of a 10 thousand goal to cover art supplies and lessons, threatening lease end this month. He sees the venue as an entrepreneurial launch pad for local artists and hopes to expand with a coffee shop.
