Disney VoluntEARS Help Build Amazon Classroom in Ecuador
Dave Smith of Disneyland Resort joins 30 Disney VoluntEARS on a Me to We Free The Children trip to Quito and the Amazon to construct a classroom for the Qui chua in Bella Vista. The team paddled the Napo River to an eco lodge and spent six days hauling sand and gravel, tying rebar, and painting a mural, learning about local culture and the Minga tradition of communal help aimed at improving children's education.
