Evacuation After Pershing Manor Fire Evokes 55 Residents
About 10 agencies aided in an early morning fire at Pershing Manor, evacuating 55 residents mostly seniors and disabled after a fire in apartment 306. Firefighters arrived at 1:36 a.m. and remained until 4 a.m. Cause under investigation with the Kansas State Fire Marshal assisting. no damage estimate yet. Officers went door to door, kicking in 15 doors for unresponsive residents.
