Boy Scout council expands reach in Garden City
The Santa Fe Trail Council aims to grow Hispanic recruitment and sustain values in western Kansas. United Way funding supports bilingual materials and outreach to families, with 59 percent Hispanic membership across districts. The council operates camps in Mandan Ford County and Spanish Peaks in Colorado, planning extra family programs and expanding to include more Girl Scout and Boy Scout activities.
