Betty Sue Sims Eyer 75 of Syracuse Kansas died September 18 2002 in Hamilton County Extended Care. Funeral 2 pm Saturday at the Presbyterian Church Syracuse with Rev. Joe Gould officiating. Graveside service follows at Syracuse Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren all of San Antonio Texas. Visitation 5 to 8 pm Friday at Greene Fellers Funeral Home. Two indicted for attack on FBI officers
Two alleged members of a violent Mexican street gang were indicted on charges of assaulting FBI agents during an attempted train robbery on Sept. 12. The gang known as Siete Dos or Seven Two allegedly battered the agents with bricks and rocks. Carlos Enrique Garcia Castillo and Eduardo Calderon face the main charges. others identified as gang members were also indicted for conspiring to assault the agents.
