Grains Drift Lower on Slow Trading on Board of Trade
Small losses marked the slow trading on the Chicago Board of Trade as buyers stayed away. Wheat fell 1 to 1 1/2 cents to about 2.28 1/2 per bushel for December, corn down roughly 3 to 4 cents near 1.37 1/4, oats off about 9 to 9 1/4 cents, rye down 2 to 3 1/4 cents, and soybeans about 1 to 1 1/2 cents lower near 2.34. Trading was the slowest in weeks with open interest in wheat futures around 115.9 million bushels.
