Health coalition grant targets Garden City youth violence
A health coalition housed at St. Catherine Hospital received a grant to craft a three to five year community plan addressing youth violence in Garden City. Led by Nancy Harness, the effort will study school transitions, harassment, bullying, and domestic violence while mapping crime hot spots and environmental factors to guide evidence based interventions and secure further CHI funding. A task force will meet September 27 to plan data gathering and stakeholder interviews.
