Finney Lake largely depleted after fish salvage efforts
Aberson notes Finney Lake's 275 to 300 surface acres have few remaining fish after a department salvage. Efforts relocated some fish to other waters but could not justify the cost. Public may remove any leftovers, though few or none remain. The lake will be restocked if sufficient rain arrives. Species formerly present included channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill and red ear sunfish.
