Holcomb board trims costs on new K-12 facilities
Holcomb's Board of Education advanced the new K-12 project with cost saving measures at the Monday meeting. Decisions included interior fittings for the middle and high school additions, keeping locker rooms in the plan while seeking cheaper interior options. Foundations for the K-2 center have been poured with block work slated to start Sept. 29. The district will switch health insurance to Blue Cross/Blue Shield for full accidental injury coverage with no deductible and raise enrollment fees to 30 per student for 2001-02.
