Garden City Western Railway marks 100th birthday celebration
Finney County Historical Society hosts a Garden City Western Railway centennial event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the old locomotive near the Finney County Museum. Pioneer Railcorp funds and sponsors activities including railroad history talks, model demonstrations, a Garden City Western exhibit, refreshments, and Richardson Railroad rides for $1. The day coincides with the Garden City Community Mexican Fiesta.
