Isis Theatre Faces 85 Thousand Digital Upgrade
In Crete Nebraska the Isis Theatre nears its 86th year but risks closing as owners seek 85,000 for digital projection and sound upgrades. The shift from 35 mm film to digital threatens small single screen theaters, with 20th Century Fox phasing out 35 mm by 2013 and owners hoping for an industry program refund up to 80 percent in staged payments.
