Tornadoes strike southwest Kansas injure none at Ulysses hospital
Twenty four confirmed tornadoes hit the region on Thursday afternoon and evening. In Ulysses the Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital roof over the Intensive Care Unit was damaged with the top layer blown off. Employees evacuated patients as sirens sounded, nine patients were moved to other rooms, and a tarp was placed with help from the fire department to prevent water damage. An adjuster was to assess the cost.

Rainfall Dips Across Southwest Kansas With Wind
The National Weather Service reports varied rainfall across southwest Kansas on Thursday.
