Correction on Kansas policy budget story misstates Pearson status
The Tuesday edition clarifies George Pearson is not currently employed by Koch Industries despite long tenure. It also corrects district cash reserve figures, noting $140 million would leave $700 million. The 2011 KPI paper recommended a 5 percent emergency fund and a 20 percent stabilization fund with excess revenue to a capital outlay or tax rebate fund, and it excludes a general fund balance complicating ending balance comparisons.
