Garden City touts growth as 2015 aims outlined
Mayor Janet Doll touted retail and industrial growth at the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce Break fast State of the City address. She highlighted Schulman Crossing phase two grand opening, upcoming Rib Crib and Buffalo Wild Wings openings, and Walmart Neighborhood Market set for Nov. 11. Doll noted 2014 record sales tax receipts of 6.16 million and suggested 2015 will exceed it, with tax relief via a two mill mill levy cut. Industrial progress includes Meadowlark Dairy’s 235 million milk dryer plant and a new transload shipping center with 55 jobs averaging 61 thousand dollars.
