Hunt's Ironman quest ends in endurance test in Texas
Garden City based endurance athlete Hunt prepared for the Ironman at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock after five years of triathlons. He trained largely solo, with online advice from coach Philip Maffetone, and will be supported by family as he competes within a 17 hour limit. The hardest segment, he says, is the 26.2 mile run following a 112 mile bike ride. NBC will air an Ironman special in early December.
