Southwest Community Lions District Governor John Lee of Kismet will visit Garden City Lions clubs on Tuesday. He will meet Garden City Noon Lions at noon and Garden City Bronc Busters Lions at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend. Lee, 2008-09 DG, was sworn in at the Bangkok Lions International Convention. He is a New Mexico native and former DeKalb worker who runs a swine operation near Kismet. He serves on Kismet City Council and Seward County Fire Board. The Lions District 17-L includes western Kansas. The Western Plains Chapter hosts a monthly program in Lakin with a 4-H dinner. The Kourageous Kids 4-H Club held a Sept. meeting with officer installations and project activities.
