Kansas argues in a 144 page brief to the 10th U S Circuit to overturn a temporary injunction requiring continued federal family planning funding to Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid Missouri asserting the order erodes state sovereignty and is improper while Planned Parenthood says the law targets it for its abortion rights stance and violates the First Amendment and Supremacy Clause. The case centers on Title X funds directed to public health departments and hospitals with no abortion funding, and whether the measure unjustly punishes Planned Parenthood.
