Garden City Public Schools Join Walk to School Day
Garden City Public Schools will join national events for Walk to School Day on Wednesday. Schools plan activities focusing on walking routes and walking at school for bused students with participation from students, parents, staff, community leaders and the Finney County Health Coalition. The wellness committee organized the event with the Health Coalition to raise safety and activity awareness and address traffic, environment, and pedestrian safety. County weighs joint health advisory board with Garden City Holcomb

Bass Pro Shops will acquire Cabela's for 4.5 billion dollars. CEO Johnny Morris says the Cabela's brand will be celebrated and grown.
