KU law school sees 19 percent enrollment rise in 2012
The University of Kansas School of Law reports a 19 percent jump in 2012 applications to 973, rebounding from 819 in 2011 while nationwide law school apps fell 13.7 percent. Dean Stephen Mazza attributes part of the rise to public option appeal and notes out-of-state interest grew. The school will launch a “Change the Conversation” campaign to attract more applicants by highlighting diverse career paths for a law degree.
