Stafford Mercantile Revives Duckwall era Soda Fountain
In a prairie town about 40 miles west of Hutchinson residents sample desserts at Stafford Mercantile stage of revival. Kurt Fairfield of St. John orders cookie dough ice cream at the restored vintage soda fountain. The shop houses Stafford history pieces and the original 1928 Bastian Blessings fountain, relocated from Sterling after Duckwalls left town two years earlier.
