Controlling Spurge and Herbicide Practices in Lawns
Herbicide control of rostrate spurge is challenging and varies by product. Drive provides over 90 percent control, now sold to homeowners as Ortho Weed B Gen Max Crabgrass Control and Bayer All in One Lawn Weed and Crabgrass Killer. Dimension and Turflon Ester exceed 80 percent. Trimec about 78 percent. Emphasizes combining preventive lawn care with selective chemical use and cautions about drift, stump treatments, root grafting, and soil sterilants.
