Larkin shoots 88 at 6A state golf on tough Emporia greens
Tom Larkin of Garden City carded 88 after 44 putts at the 6A state golf tournament held at Emporia Municipal. Despite 11 greens in regulation, seven three putts and one four putt left him without a medal as Blue Valley Northwest won the title with 302. Coach Brad Springston praised the tricky greens that edged the course’s center pins, saying the Buffalo junior stayed composed and created chances despite the late four-putt setback.
