Bishop Brady warned bishops about abusive priest Sullivan
Concord New Hampshire AP in the 1950s Bishop Matthew Brady faced an errant priest who molested girls and fathered a child. He advised against giving Sullivan a parish, sought treatment opinions, and circulated warnings to bishops nationwide. The file released in March shows Brady’s early, unusual push to expose the abuse, decades before wider reforms.
