Bent's Old Fort: a frontier tale revived as a living museum
A short drive from La Junta Colorado the Bent's Old Fort site offers a half day or longer stroll through 1830s and 1840s frontier life. Reconstructed and staffed by period actors the fort is open 8 am to 6 pm daily with no admission, tracing its rise from a trading outpost to a National Historic Site.
