Hearing set on terminating parental rights in Omaha

In Douglas County Juvenile Court a hearing is scheduled for June 3 to decide whether Jean Nagel should have her parental rights to Rick 9 and Brad 7 terminated. The boys, in foster care since April, were found with their mother after a yearlong disappearance linked to a self styled religious group. The case involves uncle Dr. Donald Messer offering custody if granted, while prosecutors allege neglect.
