Ammonia Leak Evacuates IBP Plant West of Holcomb

Seven workers treated none seriously after an ammonia leak in a refrigerated unit at the Iowa Beef Processors plant near Holcomb. EMS transported seven employees to St Catherine Hospital while crews evacuated hundreds and secured the site. Rescue teams checked for two missing workers, later found safe as highway 50 stayed open.
