The Garden City zoo plans a grand opening for its Asiatic black bear exhibit at Wild Asia on Sunday June 9 at 2 p.m. The event highlights new bears from Tucson, quarantine procedures, and safety prep. Public tours run 1 to 6 pm weekdays and 1 to 7 pm weekends and holidays.

A 30 year old man is accused of selling fake photos of injured supermodel Niki Taylor in her Atlanta hospital room. William Siegelin faces theft by deception and obstruction charges after attempting to sell the non existent images to Taylor's representatives. Taylor, 26, was in critical but stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after a car crash on April 29. He received 8000 dollars from a security company acting for Taylor's manager for a disposable camera with no photos. He claimed a newspaper wanted the photos but this was to stop publication. Authorities doubt any real photos exist and warn he preys on high level celebrities. Taylor lives in Florida and was visiting Atlanta.
