Community rally aids Greensburg tornado relief efforts
Garden City Rotary member Ray Purdy says Rotary helps as a service club. Savolt and GCHS volleyball aim to raise funds to replace all 95 letter jackets for students. Fundraisers include a car wash and jacket discounts from RT Sporting Goods. Local schools and groups across Garden City donate money and goods to Greensburg relief, with many students contributing through library drives, economics projects, and crediting the hard work of students who lost everything. A fundraising hamburger feed, silent auction, and benefit dance in Ulysses adds to the total, with proceeds going to Greensburg tornado victims.
