Mary Ann Harris will take over as Agricultural Extension Agent for Kearny County. A Meade native with a cattle operation, she holds a Kansas State University bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a master’s from West Texas A&M. Harris most recently worked as a clinical laboratory scientist in Kansas City and will start June 1, but begin duties July 1.
After months of dusty corridors and taped floors, the Finney County Administration Center nears completion with June readiness targeted. Site superintendent Marc Luksa says the building is almost finished, with sidewalks, parking, painting nearly done, and only minor details like glass doors remaining before staff begin moving in.
