County hears 2011 budget requests from two groups
Finney County Public Library seeks 900000 and Spirit of the Plains CASA requests 12000 for 2011. Commissioners put both under advisement as they begin July budget talks, awaiting valuation figures in June and noting a soft hiring freeze and potential cuts amid the oil and gas downturn. CASA serves 150 children this year and plans to serve about 2000 districtwide. Finney library plans no major capital projects or raises in 2011.
