Coalition pushes Medicaid expansion in Kansas election year
A coalition of business faith and health interests convened to urge state approval of Medicaid expansion, aiming to provide basic health care to about 150 000 uninsured adults. Gov Brownback and House Speaker Merrick have opposed expanding ACA provisions in Kansas. The campaign cites federal funding potential and moral imperatives urged by Catholic leader Rev Robert Schremmer to aid the poor and sick.
