Garden City scrimmage signals growing pains ease for offense
Garden City Lo Aslin praised the team's spring scrimmage progress after a 12 practice session at Memorial Stadium. New offensive coordinator Pete Darnell has the squad advancing quickly, with the offense scoring overall plus eight in the scrimmage though there were drops. Quarterback competition featured Jason Staggs taking the No. 1 role heading into fall, with Randall Williams and incoming freshmen in the mix. Keion Wade and Deschion Baskerville fueled two long runs against the defense, and coach Aslin noted improvements in the backfield and run establishment while acknowledging some line consistency issues ahead of the fall.
