GCCC falls 2-1 in Region VI softball setback
Garden City Lady Busters were edged by host Colby Trojans 2-1 in a Region VI tournament game. Mandy Rutledge pitched well allowing six singles and one earned run, but two GCCC errors produced both Colby runs. Coach Phil Terpstra lamented untimely mistakes and missed scoring chances, noting an opportunity to tag up and an error that proved decisive. Molly Langerak delivered the two Trojan runs with a fourth inning single and a sixth inning sacrifice fly.
