No evidence Hinckley stalked Reagan, investigators say
Investigators report no hard proof that John W. Hinckley sought President Reagan or other figures. They note his fixation on actress Jodie Foster may have driven nomadic travel before the March 30 shooting, while the Taxi Driver plot is considered only a possible influence. FBI compiled a 1200 page interim memorandum with findings from over 1000 interviews, sent to top officials.
