New GOP governor candidate visits rural Kansas park in pledge drive
Jennifer Winn, Wichita small business owner, seeks the governorship challenging Gov. Sam Brownback in the Republican primary. She cites dissatisfaction with corporate agendas and aims to fund education, promote hemp farming for revenue, and legalize medicinal marijuana. Winn recalls her son Kyler's 2013 fatal marijuana incident and argues to fix laws. She advocates regional water cooperation, pro life with contraceptives, and letting Kansans decide on gay marriage. Campaign relies on door to door outreach and public park events.
