Juror in Nichols bombing case suffers heart attack
In McAlester Oklahoma a juror in the Terry Nichols bombing trial collapsed from a heart attack before court and was replaced by an alternate. Judge Steven Taylor said the hospitalized juror will recover and his notes were destroyed. An unnamed female alternate filled the seat leaving six women and six men. The trial concerns the 1995 Alfred P Murrah Building bombing. Prosecutors seek the death penalty after presenting 151 witnesses and over 1 000 exhibits across 29 days. Defense argues unidentified fingerprints tie others to the plan and that Nichols took the blame for accomplices and a wider conspiracy will be argued.
